Angry Cleaning Radio/Nav Plastic

I got my car detailed recently and expressly asked the guy not to spray any "shiny stuff" on the car's interior. Low and behold, I pick up the car and there is shiny stuff around the radio/nav knobs. I have not called the detail guy to fix it because I believe he is inept. However, I am hoping there is a product board members have used to successfully bring the plastic back to orginal life.

Probably some silicon-based product was used to spiff up the interior surfaces. No worries.. should basically wipe off, no?

From my experience, I was able to get rid of the shiny stuff with a nice absorbant cloth like microfiber. Just one wipe and its all back to the original "shine" or lack there of. Hope that helps

The best stuff I have ever used for the interior plastic parts is Meguiars NXT Tech Protect. It gives a deep low luster / non greasy /satin finish shine to any plastic parts. Try it and I think you will like it. It makes plastic parts look brand new.

NEVER use Armor All. What you have right now is the result of using Armor All. I hate that stuff as everything looks greasy.

Try this.

Thanks for the tips. I have tried wiping it with water, water and a light soap, etc., but this "shine" remains in certain areas. I may try the Meguiars product, too. I also will probably call the detail guy and ask what type of product he used.
