Hello... and navi map update?

Hi everyone! I've been a long time lurker, and I think this is my first post in this forum. Anyway... God willing, I'll be taking delivery of a 2001 M5 a week from Monday! I can't wait!

I have a question about the navi. Where can I get updated maps for it? Would the dealership have a CD Rom I can just load or something?

Thanks for any help. I'll post pics as soon as I take delivery.

Cheers,
Jason

Hi, I see some on ebay that say ver.2001.2. Is that the version I need? It does say it's for CA & NV (I'm in the SF Bay Area). I just want the latest version.

Thanks much!
Jason

You can ask the seller of those auctions. He is very helpful and will know just what you are looking for.

Be careful with ebay. Many sellers make a $1 illegal copy of the DVD or CD and sell them to you for $100 - $150. The newest Navteq Map CDs and DVDs have holographic images on the label. Rip-offs do not have the holograms -- just a color label. Buyer beware. Check before buying that they are original.

Kevin:

When you say you had the "Original" software ... What version was that?

Do you know what's the NEW added feature(s) (if any) in v28 ?
