          driveshaft support bearing

does replacing the driveshaft support bearing require a whole new drive shaft?

The dealer is trying to get me to buy a whole new driveshaft... I don't mind, it's under warranty, but that seems excessive just to replace the driveshaft support bearing.

It's it under warranty then they feel that replacing the entire driveshaft is much faster and cheaper than replacing the center support bearing. It also eliminates of any chance of vibration plus replacing the driveshaft should come with a brand new guibo/flex disc.

I would take a look at your guibo/flex disc and transmission mounts first.

a noise that comes and goes coming right from the center of the car. I took it to the dealer and their diagnosis was the driveshaft bearing
