My dealer tells me he does'nt have allocation yet could this be true

No number, no allocation. At least that is what I have understood. Who is your dealer? I know of a few places that can supply you with a production number upon deposit in the tri-state area. Let me know if you want any more info.

Maybe someone could enlighten me.

If a dealer is allocated 5 cars a year, does he put in an order and get a production number that is based on his allocations?

Or does he have to wait for his allocation to become available and then put in the order and get a production number?

I'm on a list and would feel better if the order could go in and I had a production number.

I think the dealerships are given X amount of allocations on a monthly basis and a production number is only given when an order is actually in motion. Without a production number, I think you are just on a list until a spot is available. I got my production number the day I left my deposit. Once you have that number I think it is then that you are golden

. I hve been jerked around by so many dealerships before I found a spot. Deal was: deposit for the production number. I settled for nothing less and after calling a good 40-50 dealerships, I got lucky. I still know of dealerships that can put me in an Oct. built Beast for list.

The dealer I,m dealing with is life quality in brooklyn and I gave him a $500 deposit on july 17 for a 2002 but so far he has no allocation he tells me. I,m thinking by the time he gets allocated sept and oct productions will be spoken for. You said you knew a dealer who would give a production number for a deposit .thanks

RM5, email me at hangelikas@att.net. I called all those guys in Brooklyn and I was told Feb-March! I know of 2 maybe 3 dealerships that can help you.
