What are you paying for oil filters from the dealer?

Finally decided to do my first oil change and was shopping around for OEM oil filters! I though the going rate was about $10 but was appauled to get a quote from Pacific BMW (local) for $16.50!!!! WHen I didn't think it would get worse, Century West (also local) wanted $18.50 !!!! Finally decided on Center BMW which was a down to earth 11.50. I also picked up some TWS oil too.

I just want to know where the cheapest local place is so I can stock up. I know I can get a little bit cheaper by ordering online, but I'm due for an oil change.

Here in FL the dealers want 15-18 bucks. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone.

Here in Raleigh, the "list" price is $14.14, and I paid $12.02 after the BMWCCA discount.

Memory serves me correctly, I pay less than $10. Not sure if I picked up from dealer with BMWCCA discount, or ordered online tough. I typically buy 5pack, becausee I always do my own oil change.

Thinking about 0W30 or 0W40 now, gotta find a place with these (Mobile 1 recommend 0W40, but my oil temp is 85C with 5W30, so I think I'll stick to 0W30)... thoughts? sorry to get carried away on a difficult topic.

No worries. $10 is my target price to buy in bulk.

As far as the oil weight and viscosity, I was also torn. My 2001 recommends castrol 5W-30, but since I was at the dealer and they had the TWS, I tried that out instead.
