South Bay BMW

Well I finally brought my beast in today to correct the Emission Recall problem.

Left work to drive over to Torrance and got there around 12. Met Darryl, the assistant Service Manager. Told him in addition to the Emission Recall, I'd like for the tech to inspect the car and take care of anything cuz my baby is still CPOd and has the extended maintenance.

Looked it over and Darryl said it also needs the coolant flushed and an oil change. No problem for me.

What did piss me off was he found a car ding on the right hand side. I have never seen that ding before and was pissed at myself. I then decided I wasn't parking FAR AWAY enough. It's not big but it is still there

I specifically asked for Mark the tech cuz laidbacknags recommended him. Darryl saw no problem with that. He also said he would try to get the car back to me today.

I told him not to wash the car as i will zaino it as soon as i get it back. he was like, not even a wash. i said nothing personal but NO.

went back to work and when 4:30 came around, i figured the car would not be ready until tomorrow. now mind you, those four - five hours my beast was away from me, i was a wreck. i wrote down the mileage to make sure it wasnt taken for a joy ride and tried to hold back all the horror stories i have heard on this board.

well, darryl did end up calling me around 5 and said the car was ready for pickup. drove over with my gf and let me tell you, seeing my baby roll up from the service hangar was like seeing her again for the 1st time.

so far so good. good recommendations laidback. darryl was great (he even felt for my raiders ) i would definitely go back there again. next time, i wish i'd like to talk to mark but i guess i cant have everything.

so thumbs up for south bay bmw!
