Extra Room for Thursday Evening in Monterey?

          All,

I am driving up to Monterey on Thurday afternoon and was wondering if anyone may have a couple of extra rollout beds or extra couches for that matter for me and another car guy on Thursday evening at the Hyatt. We would be happy to kick in some money for the room that evening.

Are there any activities planned for Thursday evening. I am signed up for the corral on Friday. Will there be time to do some detailing on our cars that morning?

          Please let me know,

          Mark(g5harlan@aol.com)

          Mark,

I would offer you my room, but I already have my wife with me and a pullout bed for my son.

Look forward to seeing you, though.

I'm already up here in Nappa with the family, playing golf at the Silverado and doing some wine tasting. I guess we're all meeting tomorrow nite (Wed) at the Embassy for a gathering prior to our Thursday track day at Sears Point.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you in Monterey.

          Carmen

          Carmen,

How is the weather? How about a detailing party in the parking lot of the Hyatt on Thursday evening. We can do it by the parking lot lights. See you Thursday evening.

Regarding weather – the costal fog has been heavy this week and is pretty typical this time of the year. This morning it is almost like a light rain or mist. As such, some clean-up in the morning will be required and probably again when you get into Carmel Valley for the Italiano.

The weather in the costal areas (Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove, Carmel and parts of Monterey) will have fog in the morning and potentially all day. Temperatures will be in the sixties to maybe seventy if we are lucky. In Carmel Valley and at Laguna Seca you should have sun and temperatures probably in the seventies maybe eighty.

On Thursday there are a few things happening:

-The Pebble Beach Tour takes place where some of the owners of the cars in the concours actually drive their multi-million dollar vehicles on a forty mile tour through the Monterey area. They lunch in Carmel and then return to Pebble at about 3PM.

-The Christie’s and Blackhawk tents are open in Pebble Beach.

I can't believe that I have to miss all of this fun stuff at Monterey. It seems going to be a blast there and I know it too, just can't make it at the last minute.

          Mark,
Good luck in finding the room and you should be able to find it, don't get discouraged.
