Experiences with Discovery Automotive software?

Hey all. I am thinking of adding software to my 2000M5. I heard a lot of good things about D/A, but I do not know anything about their software. has anyone tried in ?

How does this work.. you send your DME, and they send it back to you flashed , or do they send wires etc to you to do the work yourself. I prefer the latter. Any experience is appreciated.

Sean and I have e-mailed a couple of times about the software, so I too will be interested in what is said.

I have heard nothing but good things about them.

Any mod will give $tealers an excuse to void the warranty. Don't give the $tealer excuses, they have enough

I would also be interested in D/A's software, and how it is installed.

I have also spoke to Sean about the SW. They are serious E39 guys there and with Jim Conforti collaborating I can't wait to get mine done. Just waiting for my garage to be finished and the beast moves into her new home. Didn't want to pull the ECU since my neighbour is loaning me a stall in thier garage and just in case they need to move it the car needs to stay driveable.

I had good experiences with Powerchip via DA. I dont know if they run the same softwares, but i remember them working very very closely together on it.

Thank you for all the comments and questions;

Yes we have albeit somewhat self-servingly stated a very good software program for the E39 M5’s. We have several options that have been developed over the last few years as the result of the endless number of normally aspirated and supercharged gals that are running around.

We do the tuning in house with a one day turn around and have done so for many BMW enthusiasts with great success.

Thank you again for the comments and the questions

All the best

Shadowman
