NOPE. You get what they give you.

2) which clear bra- stongard or xpel?
I'm not a fan of either but you will find several supporters here.
I just don;t weant to put anything on my paint at the risk a few chips.

3) radar- v1 or escort 8500?
V1 seems to be the fave on this board.

4) can i request no front plate?
Be sure they don;t install the bracket. Mine was installed and two 1/8 hols were drilled into my bumper. It;s dealer installed.

Good luck and be sure to post pictures. What colors and optiosn have you decided on?

I would recommend Bart Carter. The only cost would be a plane ticket and expenses.

They will not install the radar det. (non-standard), clear bra (not their product) or phone (has to be set up by your local phone co.)

So, here is what I did.

Radar: Bought V1 and plugged it in for the trip back.

Clear Bra: There are some dealers that you could call ahead and get it installed on the way back. I decide not to and the trip back incurred no chips.

Phone: Took my mobile. You can get the phone installed when you get back. It is a dealer item. You can also install it yourself if you are handy. Do a search.

Good luck, you are going to have a great experience.

Not in California! But, some states are the same way.

In Cali., I think that the dealer can't give you the keys (by law) without drilling the bracket onto your bumper (so I heard).

Try to see if you can get away with it though.........I did!

Good luck!!!

I specifically asked for my front plate bracket not to be installed. They did not install it.

Why would they be required to drill holes in a bumper if there was no plate to install. They don't have a stack of plates sitting at the dealership, do they?

How about you give them your velcro mounting kit for the plate installation? They would be complying with the law (if it is really so) and you could pull off the velcro.
