Angry Not a nice start of the day... [Stolen front spoiler, headlights and disabled alarm]

Soo, I was enetering the car in the morning in central Stockholm and got pissed because of I thought was a break in to the car. Then when I walked around the car I got a pretty nasty surprise

Looks like they did:The thieves worked like this is my theory:
  • dismantled the front spoiler and the bumper and bumper plugs
  • crashed the window, opened the hood and door with the alarm going
  • ran away and hid until the alarm went off
  • came back and stole the headlights
  • Stole the headlights and the WHOLE front spoiler The car looks like it right out of a Mad Max movie, however great cooling I'll guess they wiill fit great on the 520i...
We pay over 55% in effective tax but we cannot have a decent amount of police force in Sweden. Stockholm havve MUCH less police officers per citizen than for example New York City in USA

D*MN! I'm sorry to hear that. The whole front spoiler spoiler?

Be on the lookout for non-BMW cars with an M5 spoiler

Hope to see you get her back in one piece soon.

Gustav,

So sorry to hear about this!
That's terrible!

There is a special place in car-h*ll for thieves.

And I thought things were bad in Chicago...

At least now you have a chance to tidy up all those dirty panels behind the spoiler...

Ok, I can't whine about having a bad morning now... I have images of your car help me gain perspective...

Cheers,
Dave

What a freakin' nightmare. So sorry it happened to you bro.

Start watching ebay as well. We all know how fast parts for 5 series show up there. When you put the new ones in you might as well engrave them or write on them somewhere hidden. Just in case it happened again you'd have a way of tracking them. Ok, small chance in hell but you never know.

Wow, that is terrible. I'd guess an experienced thief/mechanic could have that stuff off in 10 minutes. Could be worse, your nav screen is still in there, and other than glass, the interior looks fine. We'll have to keep an eye out for a carbon black bumper!
