Put an order in to my Stealer for some headlight glass covers, more as a bit of fun really to be honest and forgot about it, yesterday got a text while I was out of the country telling me they had arrived! The price quoted was around $300 for the pair. Will get them next week when I can get there and will let you all know. If this is right then we are in for massive savings as the full unit was the only way to repair cracked or badly scratched units at massive cost. .

Glass? I thought they were plastic and sealed shut w/ silicone sealant
Yeah they are, but you know what I mean the front plastic (glass looking) things, they are sealed with silicone and it is a pain but you can get them off and replace them, there has never been a replacement part before now from the dealer, until now I hope. Had mine off before for the upgraded angel eyes bright white conversion.

would like to know how you can get them off any special tools or procedure?

Recently replaced my broken adjusters with CA Automotive's metal kit below. Seperating the lens from housing was very straightforward on my '01 - requiring a flat head (gently pry), hair dryer and ~10 minutes. Slowly trace around the seam, and the black "glue" will release.

The assembly has to be warm enough to where the silicone sealant will stretch. Otherwise, you wull need a flat, thin screwdriver, a razorblade, a putty knife (makes it tons easier), and some patience
Yes I will quote the part numbers when I get them probably on Monday. The job of replacing them can be a pain, I took mine off some time ago, one of them came off very easily but the other was a real pain and took me all day, just depends what type of sealant has been used, replaced the seal with normal household Ace hardware tube of bathroom sealant.

THE REST OF THE PICTURES WITH TITLES SHOWING THE STAGES.
The first one was easy but the second was a real pain in the ***, for some reason the first headlight had some form of gel holding it together that came off easily with the heat of the heatgun, but the second headlight was really difficult, we had to literally cut off the rubbery stuff by hand and then we bought some silicone sealer to refix the lens after cutting off the whole sealing process.... nightmare.
Before you even attempt to do this job you need to check if your lights have the easy or the hard to remove gel, if it is the hard then forget it, the work is not worth the hassle, believe me.
Anyway a hard job finally completed after spending some 6 hours on the second light, I made it worse by scratching the inside of the plastic lens on the second light with what I thought was a light polish but turned out to be wrong stuff. Ehssan the patient one sent me out to get some more light polish, the mobile phone cover polish from a computer shop and he spent hours just rubbing it down to get it right.
The problem with this job is that you cant stop once you get into it, you get to a point of no return and you have to complete it, thankfully I had Ehssan with me and he is so patient, I would have thrown the friggin lot out of the window to be honest, but we just kept feeding him copious amounts of food and he was happy, and so was I as you can see by the finished results.
Cheers again Ehssan, great guy we got with us guys.
