SS X-Pipe + Dinan Exhaust question

Hello,

I just talked to my mechanic and he informed me that he was not sure if the SuperSprint x-pipe would fit the Dinan exhaust.

I'm wondering if anyone has this setup and if yes, where there any fittment issues??

Also, were you happy with the result??

Thanks...

I have that set up and love it. Love it! It is much louder than with out the x-pipe which is what I wanted. I always get positive responses in public, guys pull up beside me and ask "dude is that stock? It sound awesome."

I have the same setup. I love the growl it produces on cold starts. Ver sexy. Set-up is loud but not too much. You will love it.

Wow.. I just kept listening over and over... thank you for posting that clip. How is it on the inside? With the windows up, is it civilized in the cabin?

I use my beast as a daily driver and do need at least some level of civility when I drive to and from work.

Any thoughts?

Lets put it this way... I have a Tahoe with 50 Series FlowMasters and it drones when I am on the freeway or pulling a boat. The M5 is quiet inside. Honestly, you wont be dissapointed. I am a business owner, so I can have the thing sounding rediculous, so I know what you mean. People will definately hear you coming if you want them to but if you dont get on it, it is just low and mellow. Its like having the best of both worlds.

If you are on a two lane road and want to wake someone up, drop it into 2nd or 3rd, find an unsuspecting victim with his window down, get just ahead of him so the pipes are lined up somewhere around his window, romp on it and I guarantee you will scare the crap out of them. BOTTOMLINE, IT SOUNDS HEALTHY!

Bimmerhead,

I LOVE my x pipe. Installed is shortly after purchasing the vehicle back in Dec 2005. I have the full Dinan exhaust S2 ehaust system. It is easy to have them cut into current system...about an hour at the shop and under $100.

No doubt you will notice the difference in sound...mostly when you put the car under a load. It was one of the mods I really like and often find myself driving with all the windows down !!

If you have not done it yet, what are you waiting for??
