I understand , but physically it's exactly the same ,, I've seen it at the dealer ..there is no different at all , I was wondering what could be the different to make it 3 times more expensive ?? ..
exactly ,, this is what I found out .. the normal 5 series fuel pump will work but you can easily feel the different in the acceleration . so I'll pick up the OEM tomorrow in the morning .. and as the same time I'll change the left fuel gauge leveler as well , the beast will have a brand new fuel pump and gauges levelers ... happy for her ..
The M5 pump flows more fuel. Is your fuel level sensor broken? If not there is no reason to replace it. The fuel pump is also located on the right (passenger) side of the car.

Well acuatlly the new pump will come with the right leveler ,, and currently I'm having a problem that sometimes the fuel gauge gives a wrong information .. and anyway it's cheap to replace , something like 35 $ after discount .. so it worth it ..
Check the connections to the pump also.. I've seen it where they can become frayed overtime... by this I mean at the end that screws into the tank, not the actual pump end. They are covered by a plastic sheath that can come away etc.
I replaced mine when the resistance was rather high and thus not pumping as well as it should...
