I have a 2000 M5 and am wondering what my options are with regards to the fog lights. The headlights are obviously the nice, white HID lights but the fog lights are the standard yellow lights. I believe the fog lights us the standard 9006 bulbs. Has anyone replaced them with, say, the PIAA ultra white bulbs or even some Hella (or other brand) 9006 HID conversion kit with ballast?

I've tried Silverstars, Catz, PIAA's and probably one other brand I can't recall. These are BY FAR the best I've ever used in terms of matching the OE xenons:

Other board members will tell you not to use over-wattage bulbs, so browse the website.

Does anyone make foglight xenonmatch blubs that AREN'T blue when turned off?

The HOEN's are the best out of all of them. I have tried them all and I didn't want to put HiD foglights in this time. I had them in my previous M3 and they were great. Catz HiD kit - but it was $500.00. I didn't want to spend the money again on sometime as trivial as foglights. I was skeptical of the HOEN's but at night they really match the OEM HiD's very well. They are not blue in color during the day either.
Just my review. The rest of them don't have the same output at 55w and I am not doing to burn up a harness to get brighter output or a Blue tint.
