About to install my ss headers. Should be here today.
Question I have is do I need aftermarket software, if so which one?
I currently have the following mods:
Dinan Diff, BB Tri Flo, SS X Pipe, UUC SSK, IATS Relo,
I am assuming that I probably need software to take full advantage of the headers and diff. Powerchip? AA?
I dont have much software experience so any help would be great!
Thank you,
phxgunner

You DEFINTELY need software. The headers will lean out the mixture so the ECU needs to compensate. I suspect any of the known tuners can take care of you. The other mods shouldn't make much of a difference for the adaptive software. I use PC (before and after headers ) and I am pleased.

Jerry

I drove to Santa Monica and had Powerchip work on the software program to tailor it to my M5 with mods.

it seems that the best success with various mod combos has been with powerchip. The discovery auto/confortti software would likely work well too, but not much data on it yet.
Ideally, you could have your car tuned, but that is not always possible, due to location etc.
