Chrome ring around the front speakers?

I have seen a number of caramel interiors, where the front speakers has a chrome ring. On mine, black interior, there is just a black ring, and was interested in knowing if the chrome ring can be retrofitted and if anyone has a part no?

I don't know about any retrofit or parts numbers, but I have black interior and I have the chrome ring around the front speakers. I have the extended leather package though, maybe it just came with that.

Or maybe it came with the "luxury" package?

Rassi, is your car a sport interior or not?

I thought about this upgrade as well.
I've found,

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...91&hg=51&fg=50

Looks like #11 part has two choices, maybe one is black and another is chrome..

I have a 2003 that originally was equipped with the black trim speaker covers and switched over to the chrome surround. They were about $16 each from BMW and you will also need the spring nuts and to remove the door panels to install them.

Its a very nice upgrade though, and the instructions are on the board on how to remove the door panels from many members that have upgraded their front door speakers...

Good luck

Thanks!

Removing the door is slightly more involved than I thought for this mod, but thanks for the links and ref. to part. no. At least I now know how to do it - will see if I can bring myself to remove the door.

PS: Yes, mine does have the sports interior, is a 03/2002 and does not have the chrome door pins either. Which reminds me, how do I change them...
