I have an 03 with 18.5k miles and have not had any of the typical MAFS problem signs(idle stumbling, loss of power, etc.). At last fuel flow test, she hit approx 130 l/hr. so everything seemed normal. I went ahead and cleaned the MAFS with the CRC product yesterday and the car seems to have re-gained some zip. Granted, my wife and 2 kids were in the car so I couldn't really test it but I would recommend the product to anyone, even those with later year cars or those with low mileage that have the original MAFS even if the MAFS are testing within normal limits. Can't hurt for $6 and 10 minutes.
Highly touted new product...won some industry awards when it came out last year. Should be easy to find (Pep Boys, etc.)...I am going for a can right now!

Thanks for sharing your experiment. This product is great for cleaning electrical contacts, printed circuit boards ..etc.
But I would be worried about one thing, it leaves a white residue (powder). I believe that only a long term test will prove if its MAFs friendly or not.
Thought my car was running well...but the tinkerer in me couldn't resist...
Used the CRC contact cleaner (residue free). Didn't even completely remove the sensor, just sprayed it really well. Put it back in and I had a noticeable difference in pull (by Buttometer). Cheap improvement!!

Actually, the CRC product should not leave any residue. I have used it on very high end audio/video components for some time. These connections are VERY sensitive to any residue. No problems. Your point is taken however. Use at your own risk.

I had installed K&N air filters on my wife's SUV and there was some hesitation and stumbling on startup a few months after. I sprayed on the CRC MAF cleaner and problem solved!
i picked some up from a local kragen's auto store. it took about 10 minutes to clean the MAFs and there was a noticeable improvement when the car was cold in the mornings. it seems the throttle is more responsive than it was before.
