Best wax/polish for carbon black?

A subjective question I know, but any recommendations for a polish - specifically for carbon black -that is easy to put on, take off, doesn't leave "clouds" and gives great protection would be appreciated.

Have so far used the Meguiars NXT, which I have found very good as regards ease of use and shine, but it attracts dust - and as per another thread, may not protect very well against high-speed impacts with bugs.

Also tried the Meguiars Gold Class range, but find it time-consuming and difficult to take off.

Try Klasse All-in-one polish followed (8 hours later) by Pinnacle Sovereign Wax...you will not believe how awesome, deep and perfect your Carbon Black will look!! Be sure and use a Porter Cable 7424 polisher to apply all this as it makes a world of difference. If your clearcoat has any contaminants, be sure and clay the entire car first!! I got all of these products and the recommendations for a carbon black car at www.properautocare.com ..they are super folks and have recommendations for all colors..and very different combinations at that..they have really done their homework. Good luck.

Newer c/coats have ceramic

Good thread but unfortunately the clearcoats on the older Ms like mine are a different beast as compared to the new ones...older c/coats are a softer variety vs. current generation. Newer c/coats incorporate ceramics and don't swirl or grab contaminants (which rob the finish of shine) nearly as easily as my '01. And the ceramics are far more forgiving when it comes to improper application methods of cleaners, polishes and waxes by shadetrees like me. Further, the older c/coats are very sensitive to any cut products (even including some polishes that utilize physical vs. chemical mechanisms to accomplish their aims). The glazes are all fine as they are not considered a cut product...but they won't fix all swirls either (will just get the light ones and they work by concealing the swirls by temporarily filling the spaces in the c/coat caused by the swirls rather than actually removing them..they do add nourishing components to greatly increase depth and shine) and of course wax just protects and adds more depth/shine albeit temporary. Sorry so long!
