Changing navigation voice to English?

I just installed the MK IV which I got off eBay from Germany. I wnt in and change the language to GB and now the menu options are in English. However my Voice Response is still in German.

How do I change it to English?

Also what is the latest SW version?

I don't remember 100%, but I believe you need a firmware update. Same thing happened to me when I bought one. I also know if you want the British Babe voice, you need the US firmware and the European firmware for the US Voice. It's opposite, at least in my experience.

Never mind. Weirdest thing. After awhile I went out and tried it again and it reverted to English. Almost as if it took awhile for the voice system to "adapt" to the new Nav system. Now if anyone knows how to adapt from meters to feet that would be nice.

latest software

latest software is v27.1...only minor upgrade from v27 for satellite acquisition and boot time fix. Either v27 or v27.1 will do just fine. Not sure on the other que as mine had UK status upon receipt but I recall seeing other threads on here about that.

The British Babe voice?

Sounds cool. What could be better than Elizabeth Hurley giving directions to you...
