          Fender bender question

Just a quick question for those out there. Someone bumped into me from behind at a stop light today. Somehow she took her foot of the brake and just ran into me, anyhow.....

Looking back there, I saw no real scratches, although the diffuser was "unsnapped" slightly. I pushed it back in, it appears to just snap in place. It seems pretty solid in there, but does move back and forth when I grab it.

I have never had a reason to grab that part before, and never noticed if it flexed that much when washing it, is there any kind of brace back there or anything that may snap? There really seems to be no damage, the other party will pay for anything, but I can't seem to find anything wrong. I still can't figure out why the paint isn't scratched.

go to a body shop and have them take a quick look at it. its possible that there is damage but you just cant see it.

yeah there is an impact strip (styrofoam) back there.. iirc . you should go to a bodyshop and have them pull the rear cover and have a look for sure..

          Get it checked

My rear difuser was broke and the bracket that hold it in place is part of the bumper, if it is broke it needs a whole new bumper $600+.

i think its just minor if it snap back (retaining clip)into place your in good shape, as other members suggested bring it to the dealer just to make sure...
