SLR Sighting...
So I'm driving home from work last Week, and the traffic is pretty thick through Santa Rosa. They're widening in the freeway, and it's got the traffic all jacked up.
I look in my rear view, and notice that a Merc has pulled up behind me pretty close. I could only see the nose of the car, mirrors and top. I wasn't quite sure what it was until he pulled up beside me and I could hear the car Wow, what a sound that comes from that thing!
After the traffic cleared and the carpool lane ended, we both got on it for about a mile or two going over the Cotati Grade. That car has awesome pull. I wouldn't even think about trying to keep up, but wanted to see who was driving. Once I finally got up next to him, he didn't even look over, just gunned it and took off
Was a little erked that he didn't acknowledge, but that's O.K. As he pulled away I notice that his tail light was filled with condensation

yep .. I saw an SLR in Toronto 2 days ago. Tried to catch up but could not in the traffic. I wish BMW outsorced the exterior design work to Benz ... Benz produces some great looking cars lately.

I saw an SLR on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills about 3 weeks ago. It had a ugly (IMO) painting on the hood. It belonged to one of the designers (Bijan?) on the street I believe. He came out. Wow, was it cool when he opened the doors. But when he fired it up, I was not impressed by the engine sound. However, when he took off up the street - that car just vanished. Very fast!

Yeah, maybe a Trans Am of the same era.
For some reason when someone mentions the SLR, I think about that guy who wadded up his Enzo and his wife being w/o a car because they towed their SLR away.
