blue tooth issues

2002 M5 with Nav and a blue tooth retro kit from 03 with a motorola razr phone

Every thing worked great for months then one day the top-8 list started to display numbers only(no names). Yesterday I noticed 2 names did not
appear in the directory(Nav mk3 ver 26) but displayed on the phone.

Any ideas ?

do you have any special characters in the names stored in the directory? if the first entry in the phone book (not alphabetically, whatever is stored in position 001) contains *, #, or @, or has a number but no name, it can cause problems. just something to check.

I have a question regarding blue tooth & razr.

Everything seems to work fine except it says "phonebook empty" when I try to dial by name. But when I push *r/t* button, I am able to browse phone book entries (shows on my instrument cluster).

Any ideas on how to make blue toothe recognize there there is a phone book?

I noticed that as well if I tried to go to phone book from the "top 8" listing. If I went to manual dial and then to phone book, it all showed up. Weird. That was with a VZN RAZR V3C. I have the Q now and the connection is a bit spotty, don't know why.
