Clutch life depends on break in and driving style. These clutches are not robust, but some members report 100k miles.
What do you mean it slips when you "double the clutch"? You mean double clutch on a downshift to rev match? On an upshift, there is no no need to double clutch. In any event, when your foot is copletely off the clutch pedal (assuming you didn't just drop the clutch at 3000 rpm), there should be no slippage.
Regards,
Jerry

Still don't know what you mean by "double the clutch". You are in 4th gear at 4500 rpm, and then you simply floor the throttle? If so, you are correct, there should be NO slippage. But if you are clutching out and then letting up quickly while giving it hard throttle, you could cause the clutch to slip as it takes up. Bad, clutch can't take a lot of abuse like that. If you simply wait for the clutch to hookup, you will eat it up quickly in that circumstance. Right thing to do is release the throttle. Again, not sure what "double the clutch" means, so I am just guessing. Hope that helps.
Regards,
Jerry

Not necessarily. If you are nailing the throttle, it may be more torque than the clutch can handle. I have never done that, so I am not sure. But if it is not otherwise slipping, I would say the clutch is OK, and STOP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING or you WILL need a new clutch!
Regards,
Jerry
