When I was going downstairs for breakfast I met Frank the hotel owner and he told me he had gone this morning to deliver the differential. I did not quite understand him and thought for a second that he had taken the broken diff to the guys that are going to fix it.

No, HE took the NEW diff to the dealership

Since I had just woken up it took me a while to digest this but then he told me the whole story.

He got a phonecall at 7 am this morning (Saturday!!!) from the dealership (they had gotten his business card the day before) and they tell him that the diff did not arrive with DHL this morning because THE DELIVERY TRUCK CAUGHT FIRE!!!!!! How much unbelievable bad luck can be involved in all this!?!?!?!?!?!

The guys were able to save the cargo out of the burning truck but it didnīt get to the distribution center soon enough for the Saturday morning delivery.
And since Monday was a holiday, if they didnīt get the part today they would not be able to fix the car until Tuesday

Quite a situation. But Frank turned out to be a great help!!!! He went without talking to me (I was asleep) and drove an hour to the distribution center and got the diff (he had to search the warehouse himself since the staff could not find it) and took it to the dealership.

NOW THIS IS SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure every hotel manager would do this for their customer.

So if you ever need a hotel at the Ring, be sure to stay at Franks place,
www.ringhaus.com !!!!

Ok, here are some pics from Saturday:

Here are the old parts in the Ringhaus Hotel garage:

Iīd say itīs busted!!!

Here we are going to the dealership to pick up the car - it starts snowing

Then some hailstones to make the weather perfect:

Here we are at the dealership and the beast is waiting washed and nice:

More fun on the way back to the hotel - the car was smooth as silk now.
I did not know the way so I just followed Frank:

Back at the hotel - more people showing up, a race later in the day:

The carcats demanding attention! :

Here I am on my way from the Ring but could not quite let the Ring go:

And since this place was on the way from the Ring I stopped to see the action. They were training for the race:

Lots of BMWīs:

A nice looking Lotus:

Here you can see the Porsche that had the blowout at 240 km/h the day before - now at full speed again!

This one is really a racer!!

The Honda giving the E30 M3 a hard time:

A mean looking machine:

Hunting an easy prey..... :

A lot of the old Golfs:

An endless stream of E30's:

This VW was nice looking - at least you could not miss it:

A closeup of the Lotus. I took these with the 70-200 lens and itīs quite tricky with the cars so close and traveling at high speed (itīs a bit like trying to write on a piece of paper with a fishing pole!!):

Martin blasting by on his automatic racecar:

Are we talking about a nice color choice or what!?!?!?!?

Mean looknig Porsche:

Not many of those on the Ring!!!!

I really liked this one and he drove really hard:

Two nice Porsches:

And finally a nice lookng BMW:

I finally managed to get back to the car and start my journey home - but it was not easy at all!!!!

Spent two hours reading this, and it's the best read I've had for along time. Brilliant Write Up, and a shame about the costs for the M5, but I know you've come along way since then.

To be quite honest Stockholm is a place that I WILL definately visit again! I was really blown away by it and fell in love with it. Sure the cliffs of Amalfi and Positano were nice but there was something about Stockholm that really made it stand out.

It was impressively clean, the most attractive population I've encountered BY FAR, the people were VERY nice (to an american that means alot, although it did take me 20 minutes to try to figure out that Ham is 'Skinka' before I just asked somebody who then walked around the store with me for 30 minutes helping me shop!), the VASA, the 'Old City' and is was GORGEOUS!

The two things that put me off about Sweden in general though:

1) The sun set at 11 (ok cool) but came up at 3am
2) I'm all for trying new stuff but NEVER in my life will I ever try pickled Herring again! One of my friends from Sweden got it as part of the resturaunt festival they were having downtown and since I'm a nice guy and willing to try new things I made that mistake...I'm not sure which was worse the Curry, Onion or who the heck knows that the last one was...

I work for Skanska here in the US so hopefully I'll get back there more!

Gustav how was NC the other day? I was trying to get down there but my car has been in the shop for literally two weeks now. A nice concrete "boulder" was thrown into my car, $3k damages, sweet. Was suppossed to have it Friday, then Monday, then Tues...

Here are a few "recognizable" things form my trip:

...and I still don't get this?

I have a bunch more, this are just the ones I already have uploaded...
