Troubleshooting radio?

I got home last night and parked the car as usual; radio was working fine. I got in the car this morning and the radio would not turn on. I tried turning the car on and off a couple of times with no luck. From the "menu" screen, I cannot access the "DSP" or "Code" (not sure if I could ever access the Code).

Any insight is appreciated. Nothing worse than driving in traffic listening to my door seals squeak! I suspect a blown fuse. Does anyone know from experience where the fuse for the radio is (glove box or trunk)?

Thanks in advance guys.

see my post in david's thread, AFAIK, the fuses are in the trunk, but someone with a tech manual disc will have to help on that one.

Thanks guys. I'll try Ashok's method and if that doesnt work, I'll give the connectors another check. I checked all the connections already, but it was jsut a cursory review. I'll update tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I get this every now and then.... just turn the car off and back on again and all is okay.. I make a habit of turning off the radio before I turn the car off and turn it back on after the car is started and it seems to help... but as for the problem.. no thoughts unfortunatly

Alright, I tried Ashok's multi-step fix to no avail. I've checked the connections and everything seems ok. I've also taken the battery cable off a few times and nothing. Looks like its off to the stealer...

Had the same issue and the dealer initially replaced the DSP amp and the problem came back after awhile... Dealer then replace the Radio module and issue never came back...

If you're under warranty have the dealer replace the radio module, to further justify the replacement mention that you're experiencing FM audio switching from stereo to MONO at times. There is an existing TSB which calls for replacing the radio module to the latest model if you experience the FM audio issue.

Hope this helps.
