Which scan tool is the best?

I would like to know if AutoEnginuity ScanTool Software is better than Peake Research R5/FCX-II Scan/Reset Tool and what is + or - for those 2 tools (from beastpower shop)?

Can i use both of them on my 1999 E39 M5? What other stuff do i need(laptop etc..)?

Thank you all in advance!

I have the AutoEnginuity tool - fantastic tool - but still haven't gotten it to work with my '01 M5. I think I may need to purchase an additional agent for the M5 - anyone know for sure or gotten their AutoEnginuity tool to work?
