Millenium Platinum Warranty.. Anyone have this? Feedback?

BMW of Valencia will sell this to me since the car I'm looking at has under 20k miles. The price of the warranty is around $3k and covers most items including vanos for 4years/48k miles.

put your $3K in the bank and earn 4.5%, if you have a problem take the money out of that account and pay for repairs.

How funny! $3,000 is a phat coin. You can pay for alot of repairs with that. Plus there's probably a deductable. Maybe the millenium, platinum, bicentennial, radion version has no deductable

Have you read the contract?

Keeping in mind that dealers make 1000-1500 on an extended warranty, you might consider looking at other direct CA plans.

Great advice guys.. I think the emergency bank account may be the way to go. BTW I've been quoted as much as 7K for an extended warranty!!

My experience with my audi S4 was the the extended warranty paid for itsself 3x over before it was cancelled do to "aftermarket parts" being installed. It's amazing how aftermarket shocks and springs can cause an AC compressor to fail. At any rated I ended up getting $800 back from the warranty company.

FYI:

http://www.extended-warranty.info/autowarranty/

Hope that helps.

I used:

http://aaautowarranty.com/?source=hoe-extendedwarranty

I had 46,000 mi. on my '01 when I bought it. Paid $1900 for 3 yrs. and til 75,000 mi. $100 deductible. Used it once for CV joint. A little haggleing between the warranty and my SA on how to repair, but ultimately covered.

Would you PM me regarding your Audi S4 problems. I may be moving to Colorado in a couple of years and had planned on replacing my M5 with an S4 to get the all wheel drive and to maintain some semblance of the performance.

Thanks!
