Shifter carrier movement

I had a UUC Evo3 and DSSR installed yesterday and was involved with the process. We didn't remove the carrier but used the new carrier pin. I noticed the carrier has a lot of side-to-side movement.

I got the Evo3 used, and it did not come with any delrin carrier bushings. I understand these bushings are supposed to help reduce the side-to-side movement. Does a new E39 M5 Evo3 come with bushings? I know certain Evo3 kit do not, but am nsure on the M5 kit.

The shifting is still notchier then I'd prefer, so I'm wondering if reducing side-by-side carrier movement would help reduce the notchiness. I know the Evo3 is known to be notchy/clicky, but so was my stock shifter. I was hoping the Evo3 to be a little better. Even though the shifter was used, everything was in excellent condition and we properly lubricated things. The cartridge bearings moved freely, so I'm sure there is no defects on the used shifter.

Overall, things are much improved, but I may have to check out the Autosolutions shifter. Those are known to be extremely smoothy.
