New '00 M5 Owner... meeting place?

I just picked up a 2000 M5, Avus Blue with Blue and black leather interior.

I was wondering:

1. If there are any M5 owner meetings in NoCal (I'm in Folsom)

and

2. what are the cheapest performance upgrades (mine is 100% stock).

Howdy Neighbor

Hi Daniel,

Congrats on you your new purchase. I'm close by (Granite Bay).

There is plenty of info on the board about upgrades. Most aren't cheap. If you're after sound, cutting out the stock resonators gives you more sound for pretty cheap. Marco mufflers in Roseville cut mine out for $90.

I'll look for you on the road. I have a 2000 TISI beast.

Gary

Welcome Daniel!

Nice color, mine is Avus as well and I love it! Looks kinda neon in some light at night.

right now, new MAF sensors, plugs and airbox filters are things that should be looked at. That and pre-cat 02 sensors. this will bring the car into the best possible level of stock performance. The car's performance can degrade notably if the items in the list are suspect.
