Mk IV DVD unit - Part no help !!

Hi

I have the opportunity of buying a MK IV that has been removed from an E46.

The part no is : 65 90 6 942 908 - 03

Simple question - will this work in my 2002 beast and is it a simple "plug & play"?

Thanks for helping

I am nearly sure they are the same. Maybe I am wrong, I am not 100%.

When I bought mine I decided to get a proper one from an E39 as I heard that some of the Z4 ones cannot do TV and Phone as they are for NAV only and not the rest of the functions. I have not been able to confirm this but I think the E46 ones should be able to do everything the E39 one does. If the car has TV, Phone and such like, then you should be fine.

Worst comes to worst, you resell it I guess?

I bought a MKIV DVD from an e46 from Germany and it works fine in my '01 M5. Also because it was from Germany I no longer have the annoying accept screen.
