Hehee.. that's a little piece of art... make it into a tape loop and I could see it in the Chicago MoMA...
not sure what exactly it says.. oh yeah, there are some places in the world where even an M5 is not fun to drive...

HA! If that makes you pucker, you should be inside one of those cars in traffic. Good god. I go back to India every 2 years or so.. learned how to drive stick there. But the one thing I have observed is that cars/bicycle riders/animals/buses/etc. etc. all just use the road as they please and you just have to be very good at anticipating things.

That does look pretty wild!! The worst thing I have to deal with near the house here are those huge tractors with all those funky attachments rolling behind them.

Oh, yeah, there are the notorious manure spreaders out and about too. Seriously, if you're unlucky enough to run over some of their leavings, well when you pull into the garage and close the door, you'll smell it!

Luckily I haven't seen any of the tractor drivers talking on a cell phone like I did in Nebraska a few years back.

Now I have to ask Greg, what is a pucker?? Is that Geyserville slang for a giggle?

And interestingly enough, the accident rate at that intersection is probably very low. The bad accidents happen outside of town, where speeds dramatically increase, and even on "divided highways", you'll suddenly have a truck aiming at you on *your* side!

Yep. I watched that video and said to myself, "now there's a well trained bunch of drivers....and a streetlight system would only slow them down, and screw up traffic." I thought the video was teriffic. Beautiful, in fact. Darned near a perfect dance.

Contrary to western political/public belief, people are capable of policing and behaving themselves...oddly enough. Next thing you know, the potential terrorists will have to be observed everywhere.

If you've ever driven cars in North America through extended blackouts..you might come to the startling conclusion that people CAN, and DO behave themselves at previously lighted corners..AND..traffic DOES move faster.

It's the childish idiot who needs to have their hand held, who needs to be told who-- is overly cautious.... the easily confused ones.. that person, about one out of every 75-100 cars or so, THAT person should be dragged out of their car and sent home. No licence for them. They should NOT be driving.

The kind of person, that if you were in the car with them..and you gently and suddenly reached out and slapped them in the side of the head..if they momentarily lost control of the vehicle..instead of remaining in control of the car...that person should not be driving.

Now..how many of YOU are in that tiny percentage? None, I hope. Heck, you could practically shoot me and I would not loose control of the car. Too much time behind the wheel, seen too many things.

And flatly....... NO, I don't think I'm being overly judgemental or harsh.

That tiny percentage is literally ruining driving for the rest of us, here in north america.

BTW, there is no child release lock in the trunk of my Canadian 2000 M5. Perhaps the nicely thinking and progressive Canadian governement felt it was completely unessessary. Monkey see, monkey do..so I'm sure they are ubiquitous now.

Gee..the other day, I saw 5 smiling kids in the back of a pickup truck. And they weren't even dying or anything. Will wonders never cease.

Here here! I agree ... except I tend to think that small percentage is closer to 30% of drivers that should be taken off the road

KBK: Amen to that, but I think this is true in most countries ...
