Bad Clutch Poll

If your clutch has failed or your clutch smoked and gave off a burned smell please list it even if you don't own the car anymore.

I've actually had my clutch replaced twice. Once under warranty and once at my expense. I have to admit that I didn't really fight to have BMW pick up the tab the second time around because I know that I fried the clutch with my stupidity. I learned a $1400 lesson about how NOT to launch my Beast.

How about adding the choice of being denied by the first dealer and finding another dealer that changed the clutch.

If you haven't responded to the poll please do so. It could help you or others in dealing with the clutch issue. Then post your comments.

Thanks

and could one of the moderators put in two more selections:

1. I have the clutch problem, but have not done anything about it yet
2. I had the clutch problem, got it fixed under warranty, but with great difficulty.

i think that would gauge the situation even better.

fais2000, I tried to keep this as simple as possible just to get a handle on the number of clutch problems out there. Lets leave it this way for now. We need a lot more participation for the poll to have any crediblity.
