Houston M5 meet - Thanks!

I'd like to thank all of you who attended our gathering on Saturday at the Momentum Performance Center. We had close to 12 M5's at one point. It was great meeting some of the board members to put faces with names. It was also great to meet other M5 owners who have not been participating until now.

Welcome to Mark Kardoush (Carbon Black) who showed up and is now a member of our board!

We spent some time in the shop drooling over the 550 Maranello, the new 360 Spider, as well as the Lambo which was in for a sticking throttle. The highlight of the day was taking all of the M5s to the top of the bank on the Performance Track to take some pics. Then, for those of us lucky enough to remain, we were lucky to take a ride around the track in a highly modified M5 owned by a guy who is not yet on our board. His car had EVERY modification that Momentum does, including the new Dinan 3.45 diff as well as Brrembo Brakes. Resident race car driver Ed Paez took 3 of us around the track in this car for 3 "HOT" laps.... doing some serious power slides! What a rush!!

Anyway, I wanted to personally thank everyone who came for participating and let's begin planning our Texas Hill Country drive for the Sept/Oct/Nov time frame.

As soon as I find another image hosting site, I will post pics of our gathering.

Many thanks to you again for setting it all up for us. I've "invested" in a Photopoint account so if you'd like to send me the pictures, I can post them.

Andy,

Sounds like you had a great meet. One day we are going to have to figure out a way to get the Texas M5 guys together with the California M5 guys. I have made the drive a couple of times and it is not bad in the M5! See you the first week of August.

Mark,

Let me know once you have your travel plans secured and you know which days/nights you will be here in Houston and which are better for you to get together with us?? and I will coordinate an after work dinner and drinks like last time? maybe at the same place (the Fountains off of 59?) or if it is better for you?, we could do it up north near Compaq somewhere??

Looking forward to seeing you again!

Good Job.......

Andy,
I used to live in Houston for 5 years before I moved to San Diego.

I wouldn't mind coming over and visit you guys when you have another meet one of these days. I would fly though, not drive...

Steve,

It would seem that many of us (myself included) have been taken... Photopoint web site has not been responding since last week... It doesn't even respond to a network "ping". Not good!

It looks like we will need to find another image hosting web site??? preferrably one that will stay in business this time?

Adrian, maybe you can fly in this fall to accompany us on our Hill Country Drive? I am sure we can find a seat in one of our M5s for you?? Heck, you can ride with me?..!
