Fiber Design CF front lip

So I got to Bimmerfest this year. Completely late as usual. Missed the M5 caravan. Which I regret. But Carlos from Fiber Designs has a gift for me. I finally get to pick up the CF Lip I've always wanted. Glad we met Carlos. He was nice enough to even have the lip installed for me right in the parking lot. Just one pic so far. But its a beautiful one. Thanks again Carlos for an awesome lip..

p.s.-Hope I'm not making the stock purist throw up too badly.

I think that look's really nice, not really digging the carbon fiber look, I prefer body color, but I dig it

Looks Great! I've been meaning to ask y ou about your rear diffuser. Did you install it yourself? I finally got around to doing mine, and, without instructions, gave up for now. If you did it yourself, and have any tips please pass them along!

The rear diffuser... how shall I put it? Plain and simple, it doesnt fit flush. I dont believe any of us who got it will be able to fit it flush without shaving off a huge chunk of the bumper. I had someone install it for me. I chose not to shave my OEM bumper just so it will sit flush. They stuck it on as best they could but it does stick out a bit at the sides. I havent taken any pictures of it because quite honestly I'm not that proud of it (nor am I proud of how much I spent on it). But it does go well with the front lip.

Love the look esp. on a jet black car.........
Is that real CF??? or fiberglass set-up to look like CF.
I have a CF lip on my M3....and have been looking for one for the 5....
Where did you purchase the lip??and so they have a web-site??
Also what scraping if any have you experienced??? I have a Dinan Stage 3 suspension w/JRZ and the car sits lower.....

The front lip is CF covered fiberglass. It is a replica of the Hamann Competition Lip. Fiber Designs sells it and is a sponsor of this board. Contact Carlos.

As far as clearance of the lip, I have yet to lower my car so there are no problems with scraping it. The street leading to my house is... extremely uneven to put it nicely. The really old trees growing on both sides of it cause a lot of ruts. I have yet to scrape the lip getting to my house. I did manage to scrape a bit of the underside going into a steep dip way too fast. With a lowered ride, I'd imagine you would have to be more careful.

As far as materials... is done with a thin fiber glass core and wrapped in CF ... is real cf not vynil...
