Well, I can't wait. I pick up my 2003 13K mile Carbon Black Dinan S2 M5 on Saturday.
It's been a while since I have been in the street car scene and then it was in a Mustang. Granted it was a 500 HP Mustang, but still only a Mustang.
It seems as if most on this board are from out west. I am in GA and would like to find some M enthusiasts to hang with. Is there a local club or meeting place around here. Most people I tell about the car have no clue what it is. "An M what??" It would be nice to be around people who can appreciate an M5.
I can't wait. I've been drooling over this car for years and I finally get one. And only three more months till it is upgraded to the S3...
Anyway, I hope to meet some felow M owners soon.

I am in SC and I think there are several folks from the Atlanta area here on the board. I like the "M what?" factor of the car. I love giving someone a ride, shooting the breeze ....then hit the pedal...and watch the WOW! face come on. Then drive along like its a Caddy.... Sounds like an awesome car, enjoy!!
Nice talking with you on the phone the other day! Can't wait to see your new bad boy Dinan S2.
Let me know when it gets out of service and we will have to meet up.
There's a few ///M enthusiasts in Atlanta but the crowd is not very big here as we discussed...but every M5 owner in Atlanta that I've met is super cool and down to earth!
Did you make it to the mountain drive that Kim (KWP) set up?
I got the car back Friday afternoon. I had them go ahead and throw the UUC Evo 3 shifter in the car also. It is actually very nice. I did make it to the mountain trip. It was the first chance I have had to drive the car other than hard a straight line. It handles incredible for a car that weighs that much. I do think brakes are going to be a problem though. Maybe we can get together next week sometime Garrett. I'd like to see some of the "touches" you have done to your car. Next time there is a cruise, more guys need to go. We had fun.

It's hard not to pound on it. She is taking a rest right now. With the mountain cruise this morning and the ride I just gave to two friends of mine, she needs a break. It's just SOOOO hard to drive her easy.. Her name is "Laura" by the way, as in "Croft". Seems appropriate.. since she's gorgeous, looks great in Black and will kick your ***.
