Gone to the Dark Side...Take Care Guys!

Well, this weekend I traded in my black 2001 Beast for a black 2004 CL55 AMG. The 6 speed stick was getting to me with all the commuting I do.After driving the CL a bit yesterday and today, I can make a few initial observations:The Benz is more luxurious and well-appointed than the M5, rides smooth and is insulated from noise, bumps, etc. and comfortable. Feels heavier than the M5 (which I believe it is by 100-200 lbs). I haven't figured out the auto trans yet and the difference between the different settings. I have only floored it from a rolling start and let me tell you that it has tons of power. The torque is amazing. I can only describe the feeling as that of sitting in a 747 taking off down the runway. It builds speed like a locomotive. Before you know it, from 30 mph you are doing 80-100 mph. This thing is definitely a highway cruiser. The M5, on the other hand, definitely makes you feel more "connected" to road and "feels faster". Much more feedback through the steering wheel and sharper turn in. Certainly the M5 handles much better and although probably only a couple hundred pounds lighter, feels much lighter than compared to the CL. Anyway, thanks for all the info and it has been a pleasure being a part of the board for the past couple years, although I didn't post a whole lot. I'll still check in once in a while.I have the BBS LM's I took off my Beast for sale. PM me and we can discuss if you're interested in them.Take care guys and be careful out there! See you on the road .

Congrats

By far one of the most pleasing shapes ever produced is the Merc CL. You basically traded up. Which is good. Great car. I just looked into one but it had 4K miles and was a 2005. Figured it would be out of my price range.
