I think I just scr*wed things up... At first, I had a complete black screen. Then I shaked a little, and I had a clear image. Then I thought, let's adjust this stuff. Ok, my screwdriver didn't fit, I couldn't turn anything. And then the screen turned black again.
First I'm gonna find a suitable screwdriver, and then I'll give it one more try. Man, this stuff makes me sweat...
I tell you that you are moving the alignment of two polarizing screens that are at a 90 degree angle to one another. this alignment, is diagonal, not left right top bottom. Turn that mental orientation by 90 degrees. an "X" alignment.
It may help, believe it or not, to try checking the settings, while wearing polarized sunglasses.
when you go left right, all you are doing is making the x pattern or the diamond shape between the x's smaller. It's a combination of left right/and the diagonal motions to get it. Go slowly, and try the polarized sunglasses to help you better understand visually..what is going on.
I've no idea, really, I just know that the panel has two polarizing lenses overlaid on top of one another and they are turned 90 degrees from on another... and the orientation is 'diagonal'. If you are the main person who drives the vehicle, alone, you can even increase the visibility for the driver, while making it difficult for passengers to see.

Wow, KBK, THAT is science! I'll just turn some screws, and see what happens
Ok, monitor did not die!! I'm back in business. I'll play with the settings some more, and put things back together tomorrow (have to leave in 20 minutes...)
Ok, settings changed! You only need 2 screws, I'll show them in the pictures tomorrow. Now I'll start assembling!
excellent....

KBK is right on with the polarizing screens- that is one thing that annoyed me when driving with my favorite sunglasses. I may actually open the monitor up and see if I can optimize the display for my glasses....
Second note: to defeat those "tamper resistant" labels, I use a heat gun (super hot hair drier) to soften the label's adhesive...works many times. You can also take the wifes hairdrier and hold your hand PARTIALLY over the intake screen- this will lower airflow and increase the temp (just not too much otherwise it overheats and trips a thermal switch- don't worry it should reset.)

The good news is: everything is installed, and everything works.
The bad news is: obviously I wasn't watching from the right angle when adjusting the screen (not that easy, you have to hold it in place with your hand, but then you're not in your 'driving position'). So, I'll have to start over tomorrow.
The screen is way too bright right now... If I look at it from a higher viewpoint, it looks much better (where originally, it looked best when looking from a very low viewpoint).
I'll fix it tomorrow, and post a manual, with the correct order of actions (now I realize I did some stuff in the wrong order, which made it more difficult than needed. That's what happens when you don't understand a word of the manual...), with a lot of pictures (I guess I took 15-20 pictures), and with an indication of which adjustment screws to use. It is possible that only one screw will be enough.
