Cost for widescreen Nav display frame?

I just upgraded my Navigation screen to the newer 16:9 format. I love it and wish I had done it sooner. I am missing one part however, the frame that goes around it. I just called the dealer and asked how much it would be for the part (P/N 65-52-8-385-451) and they quoted me $54.06 before tax. I was a bit shocked as it’s just a flimsy piece of plastic. Does this seem reasonable to you guys? Does anyone know of somewhere else to pick one of these up at a lower cost

Thanks

dgriner,

Where did you buy your 16:9 nav screen?

Where is the best place for this and the MKVI?

I bought both my 16:9 widescreen and my MKIV Nav unit from ebay. They usually have a few for sale. Just buy with someone with good feedback and you should have a good transaction.

The BMW list price in UK is £19.07 + tax, i got mine for £16.21 + tax

Allowing an exchange rate of 1.8 List price should be less than $38 +tax

I would try Pacific BMW or JMK BMW on east Coast.

I got mine for about $34 mailed. Call Circle BMW, I think they should be able to do the same if not better.

I decided against bidding on it, but it went for hundreds les than a standard unit. Jus' cuz of the color.

Haha.. No, I saw that one too and kept away since it looked odd. I didn't realize it came out of an X5.
