mkIII screen seems darker then mkII?

I just upgraded to mkIII and after I powered it on, the screen looks pretty dark. I tried both color schemes, but not much difference. Is it suppose to be like this? Thanks.

Why don't you change the brightness setting ??

Instructions were posted on this board previously but I copied them in to notepad for reference:

1, With the ignition off (position 0), turn it to position 1 (one click).
2. Press the round "Accept"(Enter) button on the "Accept" Screen to get past this screen.
3. Press Menu key, then select and enter the "Settings" function.
4. Immediately press and hold the "Menu" key until the hidden NAV menu comes up (about 10 - 15 seconds).
5. This has all sorts of neat stuff including statistics on the current visible satellites. Play as you want, but what you are looking for is under the item "Onboard Computer," so select this.
6. Now select "Functions."
7. Now select "Contrast."
8. Now select "Slider" and adjust by turning the round Accept button until the proper brightness is attained.
9. Just press the Menu key to exit.
