Just wondering what the conclusion is on the merits of the oem bluetooth kit versus the eis one. Seems that the eis kit is finally available now and several members of the board have had it installed, but I haven't heard about the pros/cons of it versus the oem version.
thanks,

They use the same OEM part, so there shouldn't be any difference. Martin from BimmerNav sells the latest BT ULF which is the 522 while EIS sells the 552 (1st Gen ULF model). I have both on the X5 and M5 and don't really see any quality difference.
The only good thing with the 522 is that it supports SMS but not all phones support BT SMS. The 552 is cheaper compared to the 522.
Hope this helps.
