I think its way too low in the dash.. distracts unless of course it has voice navigation as well? have you looked into the other Navigation thingies that are on sale now? lots of different ones and quite cheap..

Yeah I have looked at them.

The tomtom seems to be the best, and rather inexpensive.

I have a pda, but didn't like this idea at all, hard to read.

And as you know taipan being from Finland, navigation cars are few

I believe VDO developed that for Schnitzer. Maybe VDO sells it as well?

I did a quick check on the siemensVDO site and the VDOdayton sites and couldnt find it..

Yeas I'm well aware of the small amount of navigation fitted cars.. I think the M5 e39 was fitted with navi just about everywhere else but here. Now of course more and more people get navigation systems..

the TOMTOM is a nice working and easy to put in a car... also some other makes too.. the pda/cell phone based ones work but are less usable..
