Post Final information on facelift - Pics of new Options

Ok, just like promised here is the final information I received this week.

The M5 will definitely be "affected" by the facelift.
I posted some new pics which have not been posted yet.
Go to: Even more pics. Enjoy.

Some more information, also referring to the pics:

          * PDC has become better. It now also includes sensors in the front.
          * The M5 comes now as standard with the tyre pressure control systems.
          * New gauges in telegray. (?) Don't now about this yet, but I will know soon.
          * New Audiosystem especially for the M5, not available for any other 5er.
          * The phone has become wireless (very cool).
          * A remote system installed in the backseat arm-rest is available. It comes with a second
phone for the rear-passengers and a controlsystem for rear-sunshades and the
          whole audiosystem.
          * Coolingbox installed in the middle-tunnel. (See pic)
          * As mentioned before: A in-dash-MD-Player has become available but only with the Reverse-radio.
With professionel comes a in-dash CD-Player and with navigation Cassette.

Very cool new option is a DVD-System installed by Individual.
This systems includes 2 screens which are installed in the 2 front seats. But this option is only available with the socalled
"comfortseats" (don't know if correct translated).

          Ok. hope that helps.

          Daniel

P.S: All information given above is based on the specifications for Germany.
Don't know if all new options are available in the US.

Thanks for the update. Although I would have been just as happy to have gotten a '00, it is nice to get a few things as a result of having to wait.

Thanks for the pics - the can cooler looks like a nice extra. Are this items all standard equipment or optional (even in Germany) ??

Nice pics. Does the cooler take up all of the leg room in front of the middle of the rear seat?

          Thanks for the info,

          Hi MAH.

          Yes, you're right.
The can cooler does use all of the space in the back-middle.
But I don't think that too many people have to carry 5 persons in their car and even then there seems to be enough space left.

Here in Germany every new equipment except
the new gauges in telegray is optional.
The most expensive is the DVD-System. It will cost apx. >$6000 (in Germany).

          MEnthusiast,
There is one made by igloo I think. It is pretty big so it would take up a seat in the back but it plugs in to the cigarette lighter. You can either keep things cold or hot with it. At night you can take it into the hotel room with you. We got ours at Target.
