Do you get a message from Imagestation when you try to view a pic?

or the individual link of the 4 pics I pUt up.
I'm guessing you havn't done that???

Don't know what was up with the links I tried to put up a few weeks back, but if your interested have a look at the first 4 pics in the album that now are more like the finished product in black.

That is one crazy but cool project.
I like it in the black. A great feature I see you're going to keep is the rear side window shape. That is a trademark of all BMWs.

Black is what I'm going with for sure.
I wanted to keep it a M color and MIB's wans't the right one for me on this project.

All the interior will come out except the dash.
All of the panels will be taken off as well from the front door back.

The engineer wants a jig to be built for the car so all the frame work stays in place once we add things to the body....we don't want anything to move.
We might even extend the wheel base about 8 inches (20cm) to get the best visual balance between the front and back half of the ute for the right effect.

Time will tell how mad I am....I'm not getting any younger (35 next week)
But the cars in some very good hands, Shane at Southern Rod and Custom does the best hand metal shaped panel work in the game.
I'm 100% sure this will fit the bill.

He just sent me an email saying that some design guys from GM came up to his shop from Melbourne (4 hours drive) to see the shop and asked when was the M5 ute project going to start.....how did they know, I wonder.
Must be a small world on the web?

Amazing concept Apples. As a big BMW fan and owner of many of its older classics and also a past ute owner (WB with 5 poster, bull lights and stickers and then an HSV Maloo), I will watch with great anticipation as to how this project turns out.

I agree with others that the concept drawings look great (remind me of the Commodore ute in some ways), but I am sure that the car in the flesh will be sooo much better.
