Been meaning to make some changes to the wheels for ages now (order wasn't communicated correctly) as I originally wanted an all alloy brushed finish but ended up with black centers and chrome lips.
I wasn't 100% disapointed with them, but I wanted the change.
We put the wheels on a tire changer to spin them while using some sand paper to dull the "bling" out of the wheels.
Now the look is more in line with the ute and actually makes the lips look a bit deeper for some reason (maybe less reflection helps?)
It now looks like more like brushed stainless, so something a bit different to the normal lip finish.
Going to have to keep an eye on the lips when cleaning so the scratches run around the rim.
The resonators are back on and it's taken a good amount of the edge away and the volume.
It's not a good in the cabin for aural stimiulation, but now it's not attracting cops from miles away.
Shane says after a drive I took away from the shop that it still sounds "bloody good"
Getting another full detail/buff ready for Summernats in Canberra on the 1st - 4th Jan.
Might be doing a photo shoot with Street Machine while in Canberra, but Im not sure what placement it will have in a future months edition.
It's getting trucked up there with another SRC creation (big *** winged Buick) and I'll drive the ute back (8 hours) to Melbourne on the 4th.

Well I get 5 weeks in the ute over the 15 weeks I was in OZ.

Happy new year all

You guys know of a less costly way of getting it done with same or similar results?

I've not seen the article yet, but there a short clip on their web site of the ute for just over 1 min.

Street Machine has a article on it as well in the future after I was at Summernats over the weekend showing it for PPG.
