and if I understand correctly the OEM resonators have been removed in those exhaust clips? You're not running any resonators at present?

Stu.... You've got all counts pretty right.
We put the stock resonators back on a week back and have really taken the sound out of the ute under 2,000rpm (almost stockish Shane says)
But once past that range it still has plently of balls he thinks.
He said that when he drove it to the BMW shop for a fault scan plenty of people turn to pick up on the location of the sound.
I've not heard the difference between the pre/post resonators, but without them it was just too loud around town.

Here's some crappy pics.

The CF and leather is perfect... the piece on the top that shows the shift gate has some fades in it. You can pop it out and replace it with a new one. Easy.

I was thinking of deleting the center arm rest console (currently has MIB's old phone connection set up) and change it to the storage option that can be fitted for more of a useful storage area.
I found out it was going to run me AUD$1,500 (OMG) for the change out (expensive plastic)
You guys know of a less costly way of getting it done with same or similar results?

If you aren't married to the storage bin you could always just get your friendly upholsterer to cover the phone recess area and reupholster it.

Yes, I'd thought about that as a good option for sure.
I might get them to take the sliding top off and just see what room is under there.
There was probably some original duct work for rear air flow, that can be killed as I don't need it now.
That may help with more custom space if that was removed.

Eh there's a decent amount of room under there. It would be difficult to impede the rear air flow if adding some custom storage. I took it apart a bit ago to see what was going on underneath, and to see if it was worth the upgrapde costs. I'm sure you've seen this page. I'm actually surprised the changeout was quoted to you that much. Part number 51 16 2 427 367 on realoem shows a listed MSRP of <$550 plus another $150 USD for the sliding base and $20 for the tray. Online retailers have it listed for less (although I don't know the exact price for a specific interior color) so why it's so much in Australia I don't know. Import taxes? Just get someone in the US to mail it to you as a gift..

Anyway, you should find out if the part numbers listed on that page are available in Australia for less than the $1500 you were quoted. I doubt customs can be that much.
