That rear brace is a work of art. The UTE really looks good but I, in all honesty, don't like the "M3" interior. A little too red.

Hey Appleman,

The Brace looks kickbutt against the Black.

I notice on one side it has a CAP. Thats not the something clever like the Fuel Filler? (Or just have not put one on the otherside as yet?)

Hard to tell from the pics, but the Side Without the Cap looks a little more aggressive. (Probably can see the head of the strut, and that moght not look as good looking straight down?)

I think the RED will give it that IN YOUR FACE that will set it off Just right.

No point going to all of this trouble and sitting in the corner. This needs to be right up there in your face.

The first word out of someones mouth when they see it, needs to be a FOUR letter one. (WOW Doesn't cut it. LOL)

Then when you Fire it up, they should proceed with the 2nd FOUR letter word.

Or perhaps even a Hyphenated version of a FOUR letter word.

(G-F, G-D, J-C, H-S) Any of those would surfice and bring that Wry Applesmile.

Apples, this project is tight! This is shaping up to be really hot!

Just a question regarding the interior. It looks like there is a MY2000 NAV screen in the interior pictures you presented so far. Are you going to keep with that or upgrade to the DVD nav or an aftermarket?

Also, what other gadgets are you thinking about adding regarding electronics. I was just thinking that with most of the items being in the trunk of the M5, it seems like there might not be much room to relocate the old stuff. Perhaps this is an opportunity to revamp the audio system with a better audio/video system.

Regards,

Kenny

Hi Wiked,

If you look closer, the interior pic is of Apples Other ///M5 the Lemans Blue one. A hint besides the blue mirror is the fact that YODA is RHD whereas the Pic interior is of a LHD vehicle.

Yoda is a 2003 so he has all the Fruit, Sat Nav M-Audio the works.

Regards MJ.

D'oh! Thanks MJ.

I was paying so much attention to the "stitching" outlines on the panels and the Nav screen just caught my eye.

Good on ya mate!

The pics of the M3 is actually a normal 3 series that's been juiced up.
I've got a pic of it from the old DPE site with the GTR vented hood, but on the new site it looks normal...

The ute is done in jet black, no metalic flakes at all (PPG freebe)

The whole project is away from the norm, so the interior needed to be a bit out of the box.
I could have gone with a lesser plain colour, but the ute is black, so the red will wake it up a bit.

The cap MIB is to hide the top of the strut mount for sure.
I'll get some pics soon of the lower braces on.

In EVO #118 there is a long and illustrated write up abt the 1000+bhp Bio-ethanol Koenigsegg. Black CF body, CF and a classy red interior. Looks awesome - not pimped.

Red will really wake her up...any thoughts on doing it in black interior with Yellow stitching, Yellow seat belts and the Brake calipers instead of RED...just an idea i would like to throw in
