The floor "ribs" have been made, this has transformed the look in the tub to another level.
Alloy sheet has been placed over the steel floor you've seen over the past manths.
We needed to get a good base (flat) floor for the alloy sheets to sit on.

Now Shane is working on the rear lid and how to pull the GTR hood theme in to the rear lid.
The underside is done.

-So you're not going the wood deck hot rod route? Rhino lining? Paint? Carpet?

Looking good!

Hey Appleman,

Its looking as solid as a TANK ! Is shane keeping a set of scales on this thing? Front to rear weight bias etc? Bit hard to keep the trademark BMW 50/50 weight distribution with a ute I guess.

Looking good.

What we'll probably end up doing is add a thin alloy strip to the top of the ribs with a wrinkle paint finish (smae colour).
This will help protect the PPG paint from anything I may place in the back that may want to slide when the end gets loose.....dam my right foot.

Not sure on the weight percentage.
We'll do a correct balance when she's done.

Yeah - excellent workmanship!! I bet there is a LOT of duck take and self tappers used too

And need I draw attention to the M5 badge - it is a 520i on the advert.
