Hold on to your pacemaker, but I believe that is our very own member Apples. Unless there are two such crazy people in the world, he is the only one I know of doing a conversion of an E39 M5 into a sport utility. Search for "M5 Ute" or similar.
Regards,
Jerry

Are you sure? Didn't know he had it painted yet. Either there's someone just as crazy as him, or he's holding out on the pictures.

AFA "why?", I'd defer to a post (not gonna look for it) that his friend (and the dude who sold him the car) MIB, made. To paraphrase: "if you could make *any* car/extension of your personality, what would *you* make? For Apples, in Australia, this makes perfect sense''. One thing's for sure, he won't see himself coming & going on the highway everyday.

i think this is one of the coolest projects going on roght now. I wait for Apples pictures all week long, hoping something new will appear. Although i understand that you are shocked by what's going on, i think it's really cool that someone dares to do sucha thing with his car. I simply love the idea

I took a look at those pictures and it immediately reminded me of Apples crazy ride, which was either given to Apples or he bought the car from our old Aussie Buddy (former cop, now in the harwood floors business) (forgot his handle) Im 99.9% sure that was our Aussie buddies car and now in the hands of Apples as a project vehicle.
