Jimmy good question.
Shane mentioned to me some months back that he thought that a fair amount of weight came out of the car when it was torn appart.

Saying that a fair bit will be put back in strengthening the ute.

Thw center of gravity and much lower roll center will be much better in the ute then what the M5 offered, so handeling will be better then ever and a stiffer chassis.
We'll have to see on the total new weight though.

I'd like to think that 100kg could be cut (220lb) but I don't really think it will be much different to stock.

A new floor has to be built over the stock floor so a gain in weight there, but no rear glass and sun roff (big saving there)

Shane didn't get the ute on the scales before he started (he forgot) but that's not hard to find out what a stock M5 weighs (1,800kg, 4,000lb)

Hope you get enough weight on the rear wheels for traction?

By the way, what does 'UTE' stand for?
