I didn't read the whole thread (I'm sorry, sometimes, OK, often, I'm lazy). Apples, how many people are working on that project? And is that a full time job, or just after hours, and in the weekends?

You sure have a professional crew working on that car. I love the project!

Thanks for the kind words chaps.

Shane (the man) has it all under control and as you can see the works of a very high standard day in day out.

Very lucky to have found a guy of this standard and actually only 70min drive from my home town.

He does most of the work himself and has many other projects that eat in to a 50+ hour weeks.

Very hard work this type of business and very little cream at the end of the week when you see what it takes to keep customers happy.

I think he's poured over 250-350 hours in to it so far.

Shooting for a Sept completion in 07 is my goal....I hope it's his to?

He's enjoying the ute concept build (that's what he said to me) as it's noting like the usual hot rod conversions he takes on and will gain much attention as it has already in OZ.

Maybe I should get a US M5 and have one made up for my FL home....good idea....the seed is planted.

It will be the Uber Ute for sure, but I would get thrashed in the truck series (but I would look cool next to all the red necks)

I'm heading up to the work shop in the next week or two to chat about the tub and how the wheel arches will work with the floor construction.

I'm soon to find out how much wider the ute's rear track has turned out so I can start looking at possible tire widths.
It seems like a gain per side of about 25-35mm will be about the number.

I'll be back to you later with some more pictures and some progress.

APPLES
